To sleep safe

How can we fix this broken world
Just how can we do what is right
To stop this urge to always fight
Wouldn't that be a glorious sight
Love each other with all our might
To sleep safe this and every night
With all the family all held tight
And you in my arms safely curled?

  1. Oh yes.. how on earth do we fix this broken world.. no amount of gold will do.. if it keeps ending up in the wrong hands...

  2. "With all the family all held tight"...Only if we thought everyone on this planet as family. Sigh.

  5. It may be painful, but it does seem like it usually fixes itself. Hopefully that continues.

  6. Good question "How do we fix this broken world"
A question that we have to keep asking
as we never should give up hope. Nice poem

  7. These were my thoughts, too, Robin, on the prompt. If ever this world were more in need of fixing, it is now.

  12. I think the human mind deserves a love letter every night to sleep tight.. and the letter naturally comes from our peaceful hearts!! Very nice lines, Robin...

  13. There seems to be few ways to fix this broken world. Loving one another is the best we can do, but it is not much of a way to protect us from the outside forces which sometimes seem insurmountable.

  15. Sigh. Yes, that would be wonderful. And most of us want exactly that, so why does it go so wrong?
